I have worked with Professor Suzanne Chambers professionally for over 10 years. She is an international expert in working with people undergoing life’ transitions, and her scientific research studies have transformed how we care for people undergoing treatment for cancer.

On a personal note, she has been a positive influence in my life, helping me to transform difficulties into opportunities. I highly recommend her.

I have known and worked with Professor Chambers for over 20 years. Suzanne has a unique ability to connect with people in distress and to help them get through difficulties. She is highly skilled and has decades of experience in developing, publishing and using evidence-based methods.

To those people that she helps though, I think the things that matter most are her empathy, her understanding, her quiet intelligence and her down-to-earth wisdom. She genuinely cares for people. In my own life, she is the psychologist I recommend to those who are close to me.

Convenor Brisbane Prostate Cancer Support Group

2020 Queensland Senior Australian of the Year

My experience with Suzanne came from my background in running a Brisbane support group for 1000 men with prostate cancer and their partners.

As a health psychologist, Suzanne is imbued with empathy and vast experience. She assisted and counselled our men and their partners who were experiencing psychosocial difficulties emanating from the decision-making process of their diagnosis, the side effects of treatment and relationships.   I am extremely proud to recommend my friend Suzanne.
